With Love from a Grieved Heart.

Being misunderstood has to be the worst feeling ever. It’s even worse knowing that any further explanation will worsen your situation. As individuals, we are taught to speak for ourselves, to stand up for ourselves. We all believe that the world is liberal, but it is only some kind of blanket that covers our eyes from the real thing.

We are not free…

As a teenager it’s like the feeling sent straight from hell. You cannot possibly argue with your elders. Even if you opt to explain in the calmest way possible, it still looks to them like you’re rebellious.

As an African it’s worse because we have not forgotten values so you cannot actual talk back. You just keep shut

How about being a girl? It’s indescribable. It’s excruciating. You are told to be strong, but how can you possibly be strong? You cannot explain yourself knowing that what you will say will anger your guardian. You cannot possibly say he/she lied to you because your words will only imply that.

“feelings can be controlled, but tears never lie.”

Tears become your only savior. People ask ‘what has crying done?’ to me it frees my heart of consuming pain. It helps me shake out the feeling. But when I cry because for an issue doesn’t mean I’m a chicken in front of my mates. It doesn’t mean I will let my mates trample with my feelings. It doesn’t make me a coward. First of all I try as much as possible to avoid fights. It doesn’t mean I’m a fool.

“There is sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief… and  unspeakable love.”

My point…

“There’s nothing so strong as gentleness and nothing as gentle as real strength.”

There’s always more to tears and silence. Most people in the world have forgotten this. People do not just cry because they want to, especially if you do not see them cry often. People seem to forget or realize that not everybody is strong. But then, they aren’t always weak.

“Perhaps our eyes need to be washed by our tears once in a while, so that we can see life with a clearer view again.”- Alex Tan

Adults also forget that they aren’t all knowing. When we keep quiet, we only give you that respect it’s not that you are exactly right.

“Tears are words the heart cannot express.”- Lord Krishna.

People should realize that the word ‘feelings’ has a much deeper significance because it is something that our creator put in us. It varies with each individual. God wasn’t insane when he put it there, because, sometimes even when we fail to realize our sadness or misery lets us remember God.

What is not so serious to you IS serious to someone else. This explains why we have hate, war, and other ugly things. Little thing, little words, even the way we look at people contains what we cannot all comprehend because of their very deep meanings.

“While soap is for our body, tears are for the soul.”- Jewish proverb.

I believe understanding feelings, reactions, the little things that don’t seem to matter, makes one mature and understand the literature of life. Not age, strength or experience.

“I cry very easily. It can be a movie, a phone conversation, a sunset- tears are words waiting to be written.”- Paulo Coelho.
